Dozens of friends and family members gathered last Thursday afternoon at Greene’s field to dedicate the Dave DiCicco memorial bench.
DiCicco was a beloved and tireless supporter of youth sports and other town activities before his death from cancer in 2020. His lengthy resume of town involvement includes terms on the Park and Recreation Commission and the Memorial Park Trustees. His myriad other contributions earned him the Needham Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds award in 2019.
Funds for the bench were donated by Needham Flag Football, which DiCicco helped found, as well as friends and members of the DiCicco family. The funds were donated to the Needham Community Revitalization Trust Fund, which managed the process of acquiring and installing the bench.
