Memorial Park ceremony
The town of Needham will observe Veterans Day with a ceremony at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11 at Memorial Park (rain or shine). The event will pay tribute to military service members past and present and include remarks by local and state officials and placement of a wreath. Free coffee and donuts will be provided by the Needham Exchange Club. Following the ceremony a light lunch will be held at the VFW Post 2498 at 20 Junction Street.
Concert at Christ Church
On Sunday, November 16 at 3 p.m. Christ Church, 1132 Highland Avenue will host a Salute to the Armed Forces Concert. The free event will include playing the theme song of each branch of the military during which veterans of each branch will be recognized.
