Bells Across America

With Constitution Week just around the corner, September 17-23, the Col. William McIntosh Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution invites all community members to join our free Bells Across America ceremony at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 17. It is a short ceremony on the front steps of the Needham Free Public Library to mark the signing and first public reading of the U.S. Constitution 239 years ago on September 17, 1787. At the end of the ceremony, at exactly 4 p.m., we will join others across the country to ring all kinds of bells for one minute to celebrate the Constitution!
