Just Salad holds grand opening celebration
Just Salad will celebrate its recent opening in Needham with special meals and discounts from May 2-7. The fast-casual restaurant at 699 Highland Ave. will offer discounts on salads, wraps, warm bowls, soups and smoothies May 2-4; special pricing for those who use the Reusable Bowl program on May 6; and discounted meals for community workers on May 7. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday from 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m.and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m..

Fallen utility pole affects power, traffic
More than 300 Needham residents were without power for six hours on Saturday, April 27, when a Verizon utility pole fell on Great Plain Avenue near Linden Street shortly after 3:00 a.m.. The fallen pole brought down power lines and blocked the street. Nearby residents called Needham Police who rerouted traffic throughout the day. Verizon spokesman Chris Serico said they are not sure what brought down the pole, which was replaced by 5 p.m.. Verizon customers did not experience any interruption in service.
