If your New Year’s resolution is to be more active, the Needham Running Club can help you get off on the right foot (sorry) with its 18th annual New Year’s Day 5K.
The race starts at 11 a.m., and the 3.1-mile route begins and ends at the Charles River YMCA on Great Plain Avenue next to Greene’s Field. Registration is open and the first 250 registrants will receive fleece-lined Needham Running Club mittens.
Race proceeds will go to the Needham Community Council, scholarships for NHS seniors and the YMCA.
